I don't know if you're following my Twitter, but i just posted this link http://www.xkcd.com/451/. How long does it take someone to notice you don't know a freaking thing about what they're talking about? I can bullshit allllll day but some don't have my... piercing wit... and charm. Yes, we'll say that. Mrs. Weaver for one, seems completely incapable of performing the simple task of teaching us from the book, and is constantly engaged in providing over stimulated children with stimuli. She showed a weakness which was then abused.
Is the market for teachers really so thin that we must resort to fill the position with whomever is willing? Is it not a minimum requirement to at least have a degree in some form in the field you are teaching? This may fly at the business-level course, but not the honors. They are smart cookies, and can see through it. We students crave more from teachers.
Is it too much to ask for a person inspired and passionate about their work? If you do not care about what you do, then push a pencil for H&R Block where no one can hear you scream. Do not, under any circumstances, hinder a student's education due to your lack of knowledge and passion for your profession.
Do students deserve discipline for their rude behavior? Yes. Do teachers? Yes. However, this is not possible it seems. Nobody believes the complaining student. None of us have a voice. In the words of Alan Moore, "Who watches the watchmen?" Today we got our answer. We are alone.
